Rick Santorum TV Ads In N. C.

Keep Conservatives United will launch two TV ads supporting Rick Santorum in the Wilmington, NC market on Tuesday. The hot Republican Congressional primary in the 7th district should increase turnout in Wilmington

One ad is based on Wall Street Journal columnist Dan Henninger’s theme that Santorum can beat Obama with ObamaCare while Romney is a flawed candidate who can’t make the case against Obama .

Henninger wrote ‘Mr. Romney is the only GOP candidate who won’t or can’t deploy on his own behalf that one powerful, damning word Barack Obama doesn’t want to hear: mandate.
Rick Santorum should stay in the race, repeating from now till summer the perverse link between the ObamaCare mandate and the American idea of freedom. It looks like the best argument the GOP nominee will have for a win in November.’

The other ad calls on Newt Gingrich to sit down and stop dividing conservatives. His campaign now is nothing more than an exercise of 200 proof ego.

The ads make clear Santorum presents a clear choice we need to defeat President Obama.

Facts
Both ObamaCare and RomneyCare stole people’s freedom with mandates

http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/romneycare-obamacare-healthcare-identical/2012/01/29/id/425900

The Obama Administration admits ObamaCare spending is already $111 billion over budget http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304724404577289363234579868.html

Romney’s health care bill busted the budget by $144 million almost as soon as it passed

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121728669884991317.html

A financial report by UBS found ObamaCare is “arguably the biggest impediment to hiring, particularly hiring of less skilled workers.” http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303404704577305973982016492.html

And the Beacon Hill Institute reported RomneyCare killed 18,000 jobs in Massachusetts http://bostonherald.com/news/regional/view/2011_0915report_romneycare_a_killer_study_finds_bay_state_lost_thousands_of_jobs

The facts are so obvious. If the Supreme Court strikes down ObamaCare, Governor Romney will never be believable about why his mandate mess was better nor can he argue persuasively to repeal it if the Supreme Court doesn’t.

In 1976,Ronald Reagan saved a dying political career with dramatic presidential primary wins in North Carolina and Texas, coming within a handful of delegates of victory at the convention. Santorum can still win if conservatives unite

Unite Behind Rick Santorum

It’s time for conservatives to unite behind Rick Santorum because Romney can’t beat Obama . A new Scott Rassmussen shows Santorum defeats Obama in the critical swing states of Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia while Obama beats Romney.

No Republican can win without carrying these swing states. Before the Iowa caucus, we supported Michele Bachmann, not Santorum. But she lost and now the choice is between Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney. It’s a choice between a conservative who appeals to culturally conservative middle class voters and a Wall Street establishment Republican who doesn’t.

The Washington Republicans may well be the only people less trusted than Obama. So why on earth would we crown their guy Mitt?

Perry Assassinates Cain

Email: keepconservativesunited@gmail.com
Who is behind the leaks tonight about multiple sexual harassment lawsuits against Herman Cain? Who benefits?

Not Gingrich. Not with serial cheating on his record. Not Obama. He would use it next October.

Romney didn’t blow up Cain. He likes Cain dividing conservatives .

Nope. This kind of hit job is Rick Perry’s style. He just hired negative attack guru Tony Fabrizio who destroyed Florida AG Bill McCollom for Rick Scott using the Arizona immigration enforcement law.

Principle doesn’t mean anything to Fabrizio and Perry. Remember Perry was against the Arizona law and swore up and down to Chris Wallace yesterday that he is against federal taxpayer money for energy subsidies when he has backed wasteful windmill electricity subsidies to pad the pockets of crony capitalist donors like T. Boone Pickens

Nevertheless, Cain is a dangerous delusion for conservatives with Skeletons rattling in his closet like dice in Vegas.

Iowa Radio Host Calls Cain “Pro-Choice” and “Incoherent” on the Issue of Abortion

The folks at WHO-AM in Des Moines like to refer to their radio station as a blow-torch. The station’s powerful signal reaches much of Iowa.

Today, talk-show host Jan Mickelson used that blow-torch to apply some heat to Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

Mickelson told his listeners he concluded Cain was “basically pro-choice” after playing for his audience a clip of Wednesday’s Piers Morgan show. In the clip, Morgan repeatedly asks Cain to clarify his position on abortion.

According to transcripts of the show, Cain said, “I believe that life begins at conception. And abortion under no circumstances.”

Later in the interview when Morgan asks about exceptions for rape and incest, Cain appears to step back from that “abortion under no circumstances” position:

“I can have an opinion on an issue without it being a directive on the nation. The government shouldn’t be trying to tell people everything to do, especially when it comes to social decisions that they need to make.”

Mickelson told his listeners that it was clear Cain took several positions on abortion in the few minutes dedicated to the topic. Mickelson’s verdict was that Cain is pro-choice, not pro-life as he insists.

Additionally, Mickelson tells Fox News that Cain’s attempt to clarify his abortion stance on the Morgan show was incoherent.

Cain yesterday put out a statement trying to further clarify his position. In part it reads, “I understood the thrust of the question to ask whether that I, as president, would simply ‘order’ people to not seek an abortion… My answer was focused on the role of the President. The President has no constitutional authority to order any such action by anyone. That was the point I was trying to convey.”Cain may well have a lot of damage-control to do in Iowa over this lingering situation.

Social conservatives dominate the ranks of Iowa Republicans. Many politically active GOP’ers scour candidates’ records, looking for inconsistencies on the abortion question.

Couple that with Mickelson’s pronouncement that Cain is “pro-choice” and the fact that Cain has not been in Iowa since August…and the current Iowa front-runner may have a sizable problem on his hands.

Cain’s Social Engineering and Santorum’s Fannie Mae

Whatever happened to treating every American equally?

Today, Herman Cain is in Detroit promoting opportunity zones where residents and businesses in low income neighborhoods will get special tax and regulatory breaks that other Americans who don’t live in chosen neighborhoods won’t be allowed to get. In other words, you get super duper deluxe pizza in Cain’s kitchen if you live in politically correct neighborhoods.

What happened to equal treatment under the law?

And speaking of social engineering, Senator Santorum boasts he opposed the Wall Street bailout. Except he never had to vote on it because he had already been defeated for reelection by then.

When he was in Washington, Santorum voted for the Housing and Community Development Act of 1992 that required Fannie Mae to give loans to low income borrowers. Yes, Rick Santorum is one of the Washington politicians who got us into the housing boom and bust with loans to borrowers who couldn’t repay.

Nancy Pelosi Cain

Email: keepconservativesunited@gmail.com
When Nancy Pelosi proposed a value added tax -a national sales tax -Charles Krauthammer wrote in National Review “As a substitute for the income tax, the VAT would be a splendid idea. Taxing consumption makes infinitely more sense than taxing work. But to feed the liberal social-democratic project, the VAT must be added on top of the income tax. ”

Now Herman Cain wants to do exactly that. Add a national sales tax on top of an income tax.

So here’s the state of the Presidential campaign.

Cain says we need a sales tax on top of an income tax.

Perry says we’re heartless because we oppose government subsidies for illegal aliens and his people say Romney stinks because he’s a Morman.

Santorum says he’s the man when as member of the Washington Republican Senate Leadership, he voted for trillions in debt increases without batting an eye. And Ron Paul thinks Ayatollahs with nuclear weapons are fine.

One conservative had the guts to fight the Obama/Boehner debt increase. Michele Bachmann.

Bad Pizza In Godfather Herman’s Kitchen

Ever had a pizza that tasted good going down? And then the heartburn hit?

Herman Cain’s 9/9/9 tax plan is one of those pizzas. The nine percent income tax and corporate tax sound good. But a nine percent sales tax on top is like bad anchovies. It ruins the pizza

If 9/9/9 becomes the campaign issue, it will reelect Barack Obama once people realize Cain wants us to pay both a sales tax and income tax. And if it does pass, then Cain will have implanted a malignant tumor in our economy that will only grow.

From the Wall Street Journal
“The real political defect of the Cain plan is that it imposes a new national sales tax while maintaining the income tax. Mr. Cain’s rates are seductively low, but the current income tax was introduced in 1913 with a top rate of 7% amid promises that it would never exceed 10%. By 1918 the top rate was 77%.

European nations began adopting national sales and value-added taxes on top of their income taxes in the 1960s, and that has coincided with the rise of the entitlement state and slower economic growth. Consumption tax rates usually started at less than 10%, but in much of euroland “the rates have nearly doubled and now are close to 20%,” according to a study by the Cato Institute’s Dan Mitchell. Because a sales tax would raise huge sums with small increases in the rate, we would see regular campaigns like “a penny to fight poverty,” or “one-cent for universal health care” that would be politically tough to defeat.

The politics of a national sales tax is bad enough on its own. A 9% rate when combined with state and local levies would mean a tax on goods of 17% or more in many places. The cries for exemptions would be great. The experience of the so-called Fair Tax that would impose a 23% national tax rate isn’t favorable, as even Jim South Carolina’s DeMint learned when he nearly lost his first bid for the Senate after Democrats attacked the sales tax.

Mr. Cain’s campaign argues that the after-tax price of, say, potato chips or a new TV will be no higher even after the 9% tax because current prices have current taxes embedded in them. “We rip out the bad taxes (lowering prices) then put the sales tax back in,” writes Rich Lowrie, a top economic adviser to the Cain campaign in an email. “It is not an add on tax. It is a replacement tax.” That is right economically, but it’s a hard political sell to a family that sees the tax on its grocery bill.

Part of Mr. Cain’s appeal is his willingness to challenge political convention, and he certainly has with his tax proposal. Voters like that he isn’t a lifetime politician but a successful business owner who has met a payroll and created jobs. But his endorsement of a sales tax on top of the income tax is a political gamble that would eventually finance an even larger entitlement state. Better to reform the devil we know—the income tax—than to introduce another devil and end up with ever-rising rates of both.s

Herman Cain’s dough won’t rise

Trouble is both are telling the truth about each other.

Michele Bachmann fought green jobs scams under Bush and Obama. She won’t give liberals their dream of an income tax and a sales tax.
